Cyber Ops Coordinator
We are currently searching for an Operations Coordinator – Event Staff to join our ranks. In this role, you’ll be responsible for seamless coordination with various Event Staff members to schedule operations that align with customer needs without interrupting concurrent activities. Your role will also encompass adhering to security procedures, maintaining essential backups, logs, and checklists to ensure system operation while upholding compliance with classification requirements. Regular communication of range status, risks, and recovery plans to management will be a key aspect of your responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with different Event Staff members to schedule operations that harmonize with customer requirements while respecting ongoing activities.
- Adhere to security protocols by maintaining backups, logs, and checklists that validate system operation and affirm adherence to classification prerequisites.
- Regularly inform management about range status, risks, and plans for recovery.
- Collaborate with security to confirm the condition of event-related equipment, classified materials, and other media. This involves verifying post-event sanitization, archival, and facilitating the necessary services for classified material destruction and documentation.
- Provide desktop support for various customers on a multitude of operating systems
- Install and troubleshoot software and related patches for various systems and tools
- Troubleshoot layer 1 issues with range equipment.
- Maintain critical equipment inventory
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education, coupled with proven engineering leadership through related engineering experience.
- Display adeptness in working with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Maintain an active Secret clearance.
- Display willingness to travel to customer sites, with approximately 10% travel expected.
- Exhibit a solid understanding and practical experience with configuring and installing hardware systems (e.g., chassis installation, rack mounting, RAM replacement, BIOS battery handling).
- Showcase working knowledge of hardware systems interconnectivity ports and protocols, encompassing USB, Ethernet cabling, fiber cabling, and similar systems.
- Demonstrate familiarity with Windows and Linux systems from a system administrator’s standpoint, including related systems like SELinux, ACLs, Sudoers, and Services configuration.
Desired Expertise:
- Possess strong oral and written communication experience.
- Possess experience with test ranges and facilities.
- Exhibit a working knowledge of cyber concepts, penetration testing methods, vulnerabilities, information assurance, and security methodology.
- Showcase experience in scripting.
- Bring familiarity with DT&E and OT&E.
