Cyber Event Staff

Our Cyber Support Operations division is in search of several Cyber Event Staff members with diverse backgrounds to pioneer inventive solutions for engineering DoD cyber test environments. These environments play a crucial role in supporting Test & Evaluation, Research Evaluations, and Cyber Mission Forces (CMF) training initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Cyber event staff are tasked with a range of multidisciplinary responsibilities, including configuring, generating traffic, and executing test objectives. This can encompass areas such as software development, networking, system administration, and integration of Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) components, as required for individual tests.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of pertinent engineering experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline
  • Security+, Linux+, CCNA-Security, CISSP or equivalent certifications
  • Proficiency with administering physical and virtualization servers
  • Active Top Secret Clearance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Scripting expertise (Python, Linux shell, PowerShell)
  • Candidates should possess extensive knowledge and/or direct experience in at least one of the following disciplines:
    • Systems Administration
    • Networking
    • Cyber Security

Desired Expertise:

  • Familiarity with DEVOPS and/or Agile Methodology
  • Background in Cyber Network Operations / Cyber Defense Operations
  • Experience in configuring lab/testbench setups for DoD systems (e.g. NetApp SANs, VMWare, etc)
  • Exposure to DT&E and/or OT&E
  • Familiarity with US CYBERCOM and other DoD cyber training organizations.
  • Involvement in the development, configuration, or administration of DoD weapons systems, with a focus on surface and sub-surface systems
  • Application of network sensors and traffic generation tools

  • Work will be conducted onsite at Joint Base Charleston.
